What is tooth Hypersensitivity?

Hello all. I am Bororu (DA).
In this vlog, I will share insight into tooth hypersensitivity and how to deal with this disorder that causes acute, short, and transient pain to stimuli such as cold or heat.
Hypersensitivity is when you eat something cold or brush your teeth and feel a sudden sting or discomfort, even though it’s not a cavity. Your teeth may be “hypersensitive”. Once you get it, it’s quite a troublesome disease.
There are various causes, but symptoms are caused by damage to the teeth and gums!

Teeth grinding (also called bruxism)/biting ✔️It is said to be the most common cause of Hypersensitivity. Excessive strain on teeth and gums can wear down tooth enamel and further deteriorate the entire periodontal tissue.
Wrong tooth brushing ✔️ If you brush your teeth forcefully with a hard toothbrush, the enamel will be damaged and worn away over the years. Get into good brushing habits.
Periodontal disease ✔️ Hypersensitivity mostly occurs at the tooth’s root, so when the periodontal disease develops and receding gums expose the tooth’s root, it becomes sore. Prevent periodontal disease with early treatment.
Treatment depends on the severity of symptoms and individual differences.
Apply toothpaste for Hypersensitivity; do coating and apply the medicine; if the cause is bruxism, wear a mouthpiece. If occlusion, perform occlusion adjustment, treat periodontal disease, and remove the nerve in severe cases.

What is tooth Hypersensitivity?
It is a condition in which you feel stinging or tingling when you drink cold water or gargle, even though you do not have any particular cavities. Other times, brushing your teeth, eating sweets, or eating fruit can also cause pain.
Why do our teeth hurt?
When the gums recede (shrink) slightly, the dentin part of the tooth root is exposed, and the dental nerves in the stimulated tooth are transmitted through countless thin tubes (dental tubules) in the dentin, causing discomfort and pain.

What is the treatment?
✔️First of all, keep the painful area clean. If colonies of bacteria form around the thin tubes of dentin, the symptoms will be difficult to improve, and the areas that have already been enhanced will inevitably recur. Moreover, it gradually progresses to tooth decay, making it even more challenging to cure. Cleaned thin dentin tubes naturally close due to calcium in saliva, and you will no longer feel pain.
✔️To relieve symptoms such as stinging and pain when touched, apply medicine. The symptoms are done by applying medicine at the doctor’s office and using toothpaste at home. As a toothpaste, we recommend Earth Chemical’s “Schmitect F”. (Available at your local supermarket. It also contains fluoride, effectively preventing root cavities). When using, relax your toothbrush and lightly rub the medicine into it. Please use it.
✔️Symptoms may not subside if excessive force is applied to the teeth due to occlusion. In such cases, take measures to weaken the power, and rest must keep the teeth.
✔️If the pain is strong, that will be gone if you pull out the tooth’s nerve. However, there is a price to pay, such as discoloration and brittleness of the tooth that has had the nerve removed. (It is said that the tooth life span is shortened by about half.) Although it is something you want to avoid if possible, it is sometimes used as a last resort.
